Well done to all swimmers who competed in Essex Block C at Blackshots, Grays. Yet again an impressive set of PBs and Eastern Region times obtained. Well done to Marius Vermaak, Eleanor Bedwell, Melissa Seeley and Megan Holder for achieving medal status again!

22 EFDSC swimmers swam at Block B - they swam their socks off with a plethora of PBs. I won’t mention that one poor swimmer was driven to the wrong pool by their parent! Oops! Swimmers were Chris Mitchell, Jessica Lambert, Emma Waite, Bonnie Sawyer, Megan Holder, Bethan Holder, Lisa Waite, Arjun Robertson, Marissa Posnett, Melissa Seeley, Stacey Van Bergen, Marius Vermaak, Alex Hayman, David Price, Charlotte Kenyon, Chloe-Annabelle Ward, Amy Goillau, Aimee Fahey, Ryan Ward, Reece Ward, Michael Coles, Marc Richards. A special mention for Arjun who picked up first place in the 10 year old 200 metre Breaststroke with a new county record. Well done all, back to training till the next time – Block C at Blackshots, Grays!

11 swimmers competed in 37 events over the weekend, enjoyed competing against different opposition and picked up a total of 15 medals. The medalist were Chris Mitchell, Alex Hayman, Melissa Seeley, Michael Coles, Bonnie Sawyer, Megan Holder and Amy Goillau.

Epping entered 30 swimmers in 75 events and nearly everyone achieved really good pbs! Our finalist were Arjun Robertson, Bonnie Sawyer, Jessica Lambert, Eleanor Bedwell, Megan Holder, Chris Mitchell, Emma Waite, Amy Goillau, Charlotte Kenyon, Melissa Seeley and Marius Vermaak.

The team put in another good display at "The Venue" in Borehamwood to finish 4th on the night. This maintains our position in the top division of the Speedo League London region for next years competition. Well done to the team.

Youth swimmers Michael Coles, Amy Goillau, David Price and Marc Richards together with eight age-group relay teams took part in the championship weekend on the 25/26th Nov. The swimmers performed well with David coming 2nd in both the 50m back and 50m fly and Amy 4th in the 50m back. The girls 11/12 years team of Marissa Posnett, Emma Waite, Bonnie Sawyer and Megan Holder came fourth in the freestyle relay and the girls 9/10 years team of Charotte Kenyon, Chloe Ward, Katie Whiffin and Lisa Waite also made the final of their freestyle event.

Great performances where achieved with some good pbs at the 2nd round of Speedo. Well done to Jessica Lambert and David Price for coming 1st in 50 Fly and 100 Freestyle respectively. We finished in 7th place with a total of 166 points.

Four youth swimmers, Amy Goillau, Ryan Purcell, David Price and Michael Van Bergen, attended the East Region Long Course Championships over the weekend of the 4th/5th November. All swam well (once warmed up!) with lots of pbs and Amy and David making the final of the 50m back and 200m free respectively.
